Beneficial Visualization & Qigong...

I have found that the visualization and meditation are what moves me the most, I feel the most benefit from them. I started practicing meditation when I began karate some years ago, but it was not until I started this class that I found what worked best for me. Since I am more of a visual person I thought I would do more visualization that coupled with a new practice of Qigong, I feel my awareness and focus soar. I know after each session I am more alert and have much more energy which is greatly needed due to the school schedule I have been keeping lately.  I have also noticed that I get a deeper sleep and dreams seem to be more vivid. I have used visualization that has included places, events and people that make me happy and relaxed. The Qigong has its positive effects on my mind and body, it brings about health without medicine. Qigong is my holistic approach to complete well being. I have also, found some information on sports meditation to help sharpen concentration to bring about enhanced performance. A new experience I am looking forward to learning more about.

  1. Hello Cyndie,
I really enjoyed reading your blog! I really enjoyed the visualization and meditation exercises and found that they moved me as well. I meditate regularly and burn oils while I am mediating which helps to enhance my practice and take my mind and body to a deeper relaxed state. I have done various visualization exercises before but the one we did in class really had a positive effect on my mind, body and soul and I really enjoyed it as through my practice I mentally took myself to my happiest place and that being at the ocean. I too feel more aware and alert practicing the exercises and it calms me as well and helps to put me to sleep more soundly. I thank you for your blog and I hope that you have a wonderful week!

    1. i also enjoy oils a great deal and use lavendar on a daily basis sometimes when i am feeling stressed. It is amazing how many uses they have. I actually this week made laundry soap and all purpose cleaner using the essential oils teatree as well as lavendar and I feel great. Our limbic system makes connections to smells and I think this can help a great deal in health and wellness and it is great to be able to use these as a tools and become self-reliant. thanks for sharing Megan and Cyndie, I am sorry that I called you megan below. I thought this was Megans blog and I didn' t know how to edit. I do apologize though, no disrespect intended.

  2. I agree Megan in that this class has really helped me put things into perspective as far as psychological healing and spiritual healing are concerned. Before I started I clumped the two together and now am able to seperate them in their respective areas! Integral Health is an amazing book and will be my bible for a littel while until I fully grasp all the concepts and details outlined on the path to human flourishing. Thank you for sharing.
